What a Drawing Package Includes
The contents of a package depend on the build, but most of what we produce falls into four groups.

Construction drawings. These are the plans, sections and elevations a builder works from on site, showing member sizes, spans and how the structure fits together. They carry enough detail that the frame can be set out without anyone needing to interpret the calculations behind it.

Fabrication drawings and connection details. Workshops need dimensioned information for cutting, drilling and welding, along with the bolt groups, weld sizes and plate thicknesses at every joint. Detailing connections properly is what keeps steelwork arriving on site ready to bolt up.

Footing plans and beam schedules. Footing plans set out size, depth and reinforcement for every pad, strip and pier, referenced against the site classification. Beam schedules gather member sizes into one table so nobody has to hunt across sheets for them.

Council and builder documentation. Certifiers and councils have their own submission requirements, and a package that misses one comes back with a request for information. We prepare documentation with those requirements in mind, so the approval process isn't held up by paperwork.
Architectural drawings describe a building's layout, finishes and appearance, while structural drawings describe what holds it up. The two sets are coordinated, but a certifier and a builder will both look to the structural set for member sizes, footings and connections.
No. Construction drawings show how a structure goes together on site, while fabrication drawings give a workshop the dimensioned detail needed to cut, drill and weld individual members before they get there.
Most requests come from missing detail rather than a flawed design, commonly absent connection details, an unreferenced site classification or footing information that doesn't match the geotechnical report. Providing that detail up front usually avoids the request entirely.
